A quick note of thanks.
I'm back from a successful climb of Mount Vinson and the prescription glacier glasses were excellent! They worked very well throughout the trip and the photogray aspect was great for moving from out side to inside tents, etc.

I just wanted to let you know the glasses you built for me are great. I have used them biking and hiking in the
Badlands this fall and they worked well. But I was a little concerned because they just didn't get very dark in the middle of the day.
Then I went out this past weekend and wandered, crunched, and scrunched my way around the hills next to the Missouri River. The temp was about minus 4, the wind was about 20 plus and the lenses got REAL dark. It was great. They functioned exactly as you said.
Now if they could somehow just tell me where I am in the middle of the day????

I have never been satisfied with my Brand X (Oakley) prescription sports sunglasses. They've broken, lenses have fallen out, etc. Then, in the "Gear" edition of "Outside" magazine I see where Julbo can provide prescription sports sunglasses. I call Julbo, a nice person refers me to Opticus in Boulder, Colorado, where another nice person named Fred takes my glasses prescription and other information and within about a week I have my new prescription Nomad Julbo -sunglasses. They are great!

I have recently purchased a pair of Julbo McKinley sunglasses through the mail from Opticus, Boulder CO. These glasses are advertised in your catalog. I provided Opticus with a recent prescription for my trifocal glasses, and they returned a pair of bifocals in which there was an error in the positioning of the optical center for the distance correction. Opticus has corrected this error, which was in my opinion more a factor in dealings over the phone and through the mail, than a mistake on their part.
I want to say I am completely impressed with Opticus, and Mr. Fred Seitzman (Pres., Opticus), who immediately responded to my problem and would not accept my offer to even split some of the costs of grinding a new set or lenses. Fred is absorbing these costs in the spirit of full commitment to his product line and customer satisfaction.
I strongly recommend you include in your catalog mention of Opticus as a
qualified mail order supplier of fitted Julbo sunglasses, along with their
800 telephone number, 1-800-870-5557. This would be a great convenience to your customers.
The glasses are wonderful, as are all of your products I have tested. I will be wearing my Julbo's when I turn 54 years old on the summit of Aconcagua next February 25.
